How To: Transmit Listings

In the Jobs List or Ship Order screen, use the built-in search fields to narrow the list to the jobs you wish to share with a fellow Realtrac user.  A Job List Profile that has saved filters and columns can also be used (shown as My Custom View in Fig 1),   Next, select the Transmit button.  











RComm Send a Listing

  1. Make sure RComm (AKA Realtrac Communicator) is running. If it isn’t, start it by clicking on the Toolbox button in the main Realtrac menu, and select Realtrac  Group Communicator.
  2.   When transmitted, a 'SharedProfileTemplate' will be created to transmit in RComm
  3. Either select a Group (shown in the upper left of RComm) or individual users (shown in the bottom left of RComm).
  4. Optional - The text entry field will default to read “***** Please review this job listing”. Feel free to append any additional details/text you intend the recipient to read. (IE: “Review this collection of jobs and recommend closure.”)
  5. Click the green Send button on the bottom right of the RComm screen.






RComm Receive a Listing

Within RComm, the receiving user will see an envelope appear in the message list marked 'Shared Template' on the right side of the RComm screen.  Click the envelope to open.  RComm will ask if you wish to view List from another Realtrac user.  When confirmed, Realtrac will automatically open the list in its native window with the senders template configuration.

Note:  If the receiver is not logged into RComm at the time the Job list was sent, Realtrac will keep a copy and load it to RComm once the user logs in.
 








Clearing Templates

When accepting a job or ship order list, the List Profile and columns are set to 'SharedProfileTemplate'.  The template is a snapshot of the senders screen setup as they wish for you to see.  When you are finished viewing the template and would like to return to your own set list:

  1. Jobs List – Click the Job List Profile drop menu, then select the preferred profile
  2. Ship Order List – Click the ‘Restore Columns’ button to return to the default list




 


FAQ

Q: Does every option on the List Job screen get sent from the sender to the recipient?

A:  Any and all search fields in the search bar are sent. The enabled columns and the order of the columns are sent to the recipient as well. What is not sent           are the settings under the orange Filters menu (whether Open, Closed, Finished Jobs are included, whether the “Recent” Jobs are shown separately on the            display).


Q: Does a user need to be on RComm for me to send them a File Template?

A: No. As part of this feature, we have developed the ability to save incoming messages when users are offline. When the user goes online with RComm, the           message will be delivered (the messages are time stamped, so the recipient will be able to know when the message was originally sent).
