FAQ:  How can I reset an Employee Password





Initial Setup

With the initial Realtrac setup or new employee setup, the employee's password defaults to their Employee Number.  The Employee Number can be found in the Toolbox > Employee Group > Employee Entry form.




Reset Password with the Current Password

To reset a user password when the current password in known, first select or type the user Id.  Next, enter the current password and enter the new password at the bottom of the login.  Reenter the password for confirmation and click 'Update My Password'.




Reset Password without the Current Password

If the current password is unknown or employee forgot their password, a Realtrac Administrator with admin authority can reset the password in the Employee Group.  Navigate to the Toolbox > Employee Group > List Employee.  Select the employee in the list to open their entry and click the 'Set Password' button.  Enter a temporary password for the employee, then click Accept.  The employee can then log into Realtrac and change the password by following the 'Reset Password with the Current Password' steps
